With less than a month to go until the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona—the world’s most influential connectivity event—Honor, the world’s third-largest smartphone brand and one of China’s fastest-growing tech innovators, teamed up with global communications agency BCW (Hong Kong) to create a standout storytelling campaign for the launch of their new flagship device: Honor Magic6 Pro.
In collaboration with technical production partner ‘The Flash Pack’ we used the ancient art of fencing as our starting point for demonstrating the unique ability of Honor’s new devices’s precision capture even at extreme speed.
Working alongside French fencing champion Cécilia Berder we combined bespoke bullet time sequences shot with 30 carefully rigged Honor devices alongside live-action footage welding it all with an original score by renown artist Haus of Ila drawn from the percussive sounds of the fencing sabres clashing.
At the heart of the campaign was Cécilia Berder, celebrated French fencing champion, whose dynamic performance became the canvas for a unique visual experience. Using a bespoke bullet-time rig made up of 30 Honor Magic6 Pro devices, we captured split-second moments from multiple angles—highlighting just how fast and accurate the new camera system truly is.
Complementing the visuals was a specially composed original score by renown sound artist Haus of Ila, crafted from the percussive clash of fencing sabres, bringing a rhythmic, visceral energy to the final piece.
The result? A captivating fusion of sport, art, and technology—one that not only highlights the technical prowess of the Honor Magic6 Pro, but also reflects the brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of mobile innovation.
