In collaboration with BAFTA-nominated Object Films, I am directing a landmark documentary campaign to launch one of the most ambitious and consequential startups in recent memory. At the heart of this story is Agratas, a groundbreaking venture by the legendary Tata Group, poised to become one of the leading producers of electric battery cells across two continents.
With the announcement of two major Gigafactories—one in Somerset, UK, and the other in Sanand, India—Agratas is helping shape the future of sustainable energy. This global project marks a critical step toward achieving net zero targets and redefining industrial innovation for a decarbonized world.
During development, we uncovered an extraordinary hidden narrative: the story of a secretive startup that issued an audacious Grand Challenge, setting two vastly different locations—Somerset and Sanand—on a parallel journey. Though separated by thousands of miles, contrasting cultures, and unique developmental trajectories, these two regions find themselves unexpectedly interconnected, their destinies shaped by a shared ambition to power a cleaner, more connected future.
It's the story of a global awakening, driven by technology, courage, and a belief that progress must be both inclusive and planetary in scale.
Alongside Direction, I shot a campaign of photographic imagery. A selection of which you can see below.
